Bayview bridge collapse during demolition

Snowy commute causes delays

It’s another slow day in Ottawa following yesterday’s record breaking 46cm of snowfall. The previous record was set on March 2, 1947 with 40.6cm of snowfall in one day. As the city cleans expect more delays.

Rideau Canal opens to skaters

The Rideau Canal has opened for the 2016 skating season. A 3.8 KM stretch from Somerset to the Bank Street bridge is currently open with “fair” ice conditions. The rest of the skate way is expected to open as conditions improve.
