A group of activists affiliated with the Ottawa Animal Defense league staged a “PETA inspired” protest outside Baconpalooza, a festival which takes place at the experimental farm and celebrates “all things bacon”. The smell of bacon was in the air as protesters stood in the rain and called on people attending the festival to become vegans and end the “inhumane” treatment of animals.
